Actor Jesse Williams speaking at an event at Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia said that black students need to learn about their history but are only taught about the white heroes who have had a boot on their ancestors neck.

  1. Black people contribute to the intellectual wealth of this nation. Many don’t like to admit it, but Afro-Americans’ intellect also helped this nation to become wealthy. Many black children only learn about the limited contributions from black pioneers. We should control our history and teach it to our children. Mr. Williams stated it well. We abound in intellectual wealth. This led to innovations changing the world we live in.
