The Context of White Supremacy welcomes the return of Norm Stamper. Mr. Stamper is a White man, the former Seattle Police Chief and author of Breaking Rank: A Top Cop’s Expose of the Dark Side of American Policing. Mr. Stamper is also an advisory board member of Law Enforcement Against Prohibition, a group of law enforcement officers opposed to the war on drugs. Mr. Stamper asserts that White police officers slaughter black people like Michael Brown, Jr., Eric Garner, Ezell Ford and countless others because they are afraid of black people – especially big, dark black males. We’ll ask him to explain why Whites would be fearful of a group people they have bullied, humiliated and controlled for centuries. We’ll also ask him why this portion of his book was not broached during his interview on CNN to discuss the turmoil in Ferguson, Missouri – this may have been a deliberate act of Racism on his part to avoid an essential element of why Michael Brown was killed. We’ll also inquire about the difference in how Whites have responded to a perceived excess use of police force; Stamper resigned after his much criticized handling of the 1999 WTO Seattle protests. Ferguson Chief Tom Jackson appears to have no employment anxiety.
