A small crowd of demonstrators in Charlotte, NC walked from Marshall Park where a statute dedicated to Martin Luther King Jr. is located making their way to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. The demonstration was to show solidarity with residents of Ferguson, Missouri in demanding Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson be charged with a crime for the execution style killing of Ferguson teenager Michael Brown.

The city of Charlotte is also dealing with a case of excessive force stemming from the killing of Johnathan Ferrell, 24, in Charlotte last September by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police officer Randall Kerrick. Kerrick was indicted by a grand jury in January on a charge of involuntary manslaughter.
