Former NSA official says government uses states secrets to cover up crimes

The Canberra Times just ran an article called “Government secrecy cannot disinfect, or hide, dirty laundry.”  The article discusses how the Australian government uses the blanket “state secrets” to cover up dirty laundry. The articles also discusses the profit driven corporate news media compliance in helping to sell the lies to the public.

In the article, Jack Waterford writes about how he sat in a two-hour seminar where an ex-NSA chief talked at length about how much he was against government secrecy, and in the course of the seminar, he admitted that the government practice of keeping secrets is often used to cover up blame or hide hypocrisy
