President Obama to host town hall on immigration

2-25-2015 4-18-52 PM

This has been a huge week for immigration action – and the momentum around immigration reform is still growing. Tonight, President Obama will speak at a Town Hall meeting in Miami, FL about his executive actions on immigration and the future of common sense legislative immigration reform.

253,000 people in Florida are eligible to benefit from the expanded DACA and DAPA programs created by President Obama’s executive actions, so it’s no surprise the President will give this important immigration speech in Miami. But Florida is not the only state that will hugely benefit from executive action on immigration reform – in total, these new programs will allow nearly 5 million people to come out of the shadows, apply for work permits, and live without fear of deportation.

This is a critical opportunity for supporters of immigration reform to make their voices heard online – you can join the conversation during the speech by using #ObamaTownHall, then commit to calling your Congressional representative on the Day of Action on March 2nd.

Incredible movement is happening on immigration – we need you to keep pushing with us.

Sincerely,
