Sarasota Florida cop quits after video shows him “feeding” jailed homeless man

A surveillance video from inside the Sarasota County Jail showed Officer Andrew Halpin of the Sarasota Police Department standing near a homeless man who had been arrested for trespassing, trying to toss peanuts into the man’s mouth. Officer Halpin has a history of disciplinary problems according to the Florida ALCU. Halpin resigned after the video was made public.
