Playmobil teaches children how to practice race based slavery

It appears that TOYS R US is selling a pirate playset that teaches children to practice race-based slavery. Sacramento mom Ida Locket’s son received the gift toy set from his aunt in celebration of his fifth birthday. When the boy’s mother helped him to put the playset together she noticed that the instructions contained directions indicating that a neck shackle should be placed around the neck of the a dark-skinned character. Lockett perceived that the dark-skinned character was a victim of slavery.

“You cannot have this specific accessory and call it anything else,” she said. “The fact that you can Google it, look it up, say what it is—it’s a slave collar.”

Sacramento NAACP Chapter President Stephen Webb is calling for the pirate playset to be pulled from store shelves.

“This is deplorable; this cannot be accepted, and it needs to be pulled off the shelf,” he said.

Race-based slavery was not introduced to the North American continent until after the invention of the so-called white race which is documented in the two-volume book by Theodore W. Allen titled “The Invention of the White Race“.

However, when discussing a playset for small children, there is something insidious about teaching them to practice slavery not to mention race-based slavery.

Playmobil and TOYS R US did not respond to media requests for comment.
