BTR News – Poor and marginalized people stage Olympic protests

8-8-2016 3-16-23 PMPoor and marginalized people in Brasil have been holding demonstrations in several cities against the 2016 Olympic games and the ouster of its former President Dilma Rousseff. Little to no coverage on how disruptive the Olympics have been to the people of that country.

The Green Party nominated human rights activist Ajamu Baraka to be Dr. Jill Stein’s vice-presidential running mate during the party’s convention in Houston, Texas, over the weekend.

Olu Stevens, a black circuit judge in Louisville, accepted a 90-day suspension without pay in an agreement approved by the Kentucky Judicial Conduct Commission.
