Randall, who retired from the University of Dayton School of Law in April 2013. In a personal interview she shares with Race Treaty her trails, travails, travels and triumphs from segregated Texas to the United Nations World Conference Against Racism in Durban, South Africa, where we met, and beyond. She is the recipient of the Ohio Commission on Minority Health Chairman’s Award, and she was named one of the “Top 10 Most Influential African-Americans” on the 2001 Black Equal Opportunity Employment Journal list, to name a few recognitions. On the anniversary of her fourth year of retirement, she recalls her life, their major transitions, choices and philosophy that has now established her as an elder stateswoman and activist-scholar for the rights of Descendants of Africans Enslaved in the United States, (DAEUS).
