The Context of White Supremacy hosts our Thursday weekly gathering on Workplace Racism. The reason for this broadcast is to fortify non-white people’s problem-solving abilities and to fine-tune how black people think, speak, act and manage emotions while on the job. Any listeners who’ve figured out the best method to minimize conflict with White and/or non-white co-workers, avoid demotions, write-ups, terminations or other racial hostility we experience under Racist labor conditions should be first to dial in and share specifics. We always welcome the experiences of black folks who are “self-employed;” please, let us know how being a black entrepreneur alters your contact with Whites on the job. We’ll hear counter-racist strategies from listeners as well as individual reflections from your own work environment. Gus advises Victims of Racism to record important workplace events. Documenting your thoughts and workplace incidents is more trustworthy than memory, and the act of writing can help clarify your thinking. We’ll also ask that non-white listeners share vital segments of the policy and procedure from your current place of employment.
