BTR News: 1/4 American Citizen & Victim of Slavery Tells Slave Patroller “I’m not a Slave”

BTR News – The United States technically did not end slavery when it made the 13th Amendment a part of the US Consitution which carries an exception clause to allow slavery and involuntary servitude under the new conditions.

13th Amendment
Section 1.
Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

Section 2. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation

The former Confederate States and the rest of the nation created legislative means to recreate not only the institution of slavery but for over 150 years have found ways to extend the newly established system of slavery beyond the prison plantation walls, strip vulnerable populations of their newly obtain freedom and deny them the right to vote while subjecting them to taxation without representation which is a heavily promoted gripe the American colonists had with the British monarchy against whom they rebelled.

In a segment of the yet to be broadcast CNN film titled “American Jail”, a recently emancipated prison slave recalls a conversation with a modern day slave patroller where he was told to keep his “travel papers” on his person at all times and him getting a moment of clarity in connecting what he was being subjected to was rooted in slavery. The film will air on CNN on July 1, 2018 at 8 pm est.
