Four years after Ferguson police gunned down unarmed black teen Michael Brown Jr., the prosecutor who decided not to indict the White killer cop has been fired. 27-year incumbent Robert McCullough was defeated in the Democratic primary by a black male, Wesley Bell. Continuing the political activism, Brown’s mother, Lezley McSpadden announced she’s running for City Council. She and others have also requested the re-opening of the criminal investigation in to her son’s death. Wildfires continue to ravage dozens of acres in California. While kudos are doled out to the brave firefighters risking their lives to contain the blaze, the Los Angeles Times reported that a black firefighter had his private property smeared with feces by his fellow firefighters. One year after the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, the dead White Woman Heather Heyer is projected as more heroic then Marvel’s Black Panther. Her White mother has been widely interviewed and reminded all that her daughter is an illustration that some Whites have made the ultimate sacrifice to battle Racism.
