Black Talk Radio Network has been a space where the public can listen to and download free media since 2008. BTRN is a unique space and is historically the first digital media platform of its kind devoted to connecting black voices with a black radio consumer audience which has been confirmed by recent independent reports to one of the fastest growing segments of digital media consumers.
The Black Talk Radio Network is not a corporately backed or funded platform but has mainly been supported by donations to the US-based non-profit Black Talk Media Project whose founder Scotty T. Reid is also the creator and manager of the platform.
Donations allow us to continue to grow the platform, expand our social media reach, consult and train new media producers on use of digital media technology. It also allows us to help grassroots producers reach a global audience without pricing them out of services.
Black Talk Media Project in its 9 years history has proudly helped sponsor and promote events like the NYC Hip-Hop Film Festival and the historic Millions For Prisoners Human Rights March which occurred on August 19, 2017, in Washington, DC. Founder Scotty T. Reid more recently participated in giving a workshop at the 4th Annual Carolina Human Rights Conference in Greenville, SC.
Help mark our 9th anniversary with a financial donation to our 9th annual fundraiser which will be running throughout the month of November 2017 when totals will be announced.
You can make a donation online or send your check or money order addressed to the Black Talk Media Project, PO Box 65, Mt. Holly, NC 28120.
All financial contributors receive a monthly email report on the reach of the Black Talk Media Project’s media operations including Black Talk Radio Network! Leave us a note if you want to opt out of receiving the monthly report and the free subscription to BTR Weekly, a newsletter that provides network updates, news from our media partners and more. Thank you to our past, present and, future donors!
