Michael Dunn, the middle-aged white male who fired into a SUV full of teens is again asking for a delay for his trial on charges of first-degree murder in the killing of Jordan Davis and attempted murder of the teens with Davis. Dunn claimed he argued with the teens over loud music at a Jacksonville gas station and that someone in the SUV pointed a weapon at him causing him to fear for his life and open fire with his own weapon. No weapons were found in the teen’s vehicle or on the premises of the gas station by investigators.

Dunn is facing life in prison without the possibility of parole if convicted. Dunn and the family of Jordan Davis who was 17 when gunned down, settled a wrongful death lawsuit out of court the terms of which have not been made public.

The murder trail was scheduled for September of 2013 but a delay was granted to Michael Dunn attorneys. If granted, this will be the second such delay. The victim’s family opposes another delay.
