Tonight’s guest speaker is activist and talk radio host Christopher Ervin who joins us tonight to discuss a recent conference by the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and hosted by the Open Society Foundation. Former NYPD Commissioner Bernard Kerik was there and said he wants to be the new face of criminal justice reform  He also will discuss the Uniform Law Commission which “is a non-profit, unincorporated association. Established in 1892, the ULC provides states with non-partisan, well-conceived and well-drafted legislation that brings clarity”. Mr. Ervin witnessed some interesting things and was able to ask a room full of lawyers why they were not addressing the 13th Amendment which enshrined slavery in the US Constitution  and did not abolish it.
