TRI-COUNTY POLITICAL INFORMATION AWARENESS COMMUNITY FORUM PRESS RELEASE

Detroit, Michigan – On July 18, 2014 the World Changers Political Action Information Team of World Changers Community Alliance, the Domestic nonprofit Corporation of First Baptist World Changers International Ministries will be hosting its annual TRI-COUNTY POLITICAL INFORMATION AWARENESS COMMUNITY FORUM that focuses on political candidates and ballot proposals for the Oakland, Wayne, and Macomb counties.

The PURPOSE of the Political Action Information Team is to never instruct anyone on how to vote in any election, BUT only provide an open venue for voters to ask submit questions and receive answers from either the official printed on the ballot candidates and/or knowledgeable individuals on the proposals and/or other related issues which impact the voting community.  This open venue is called the Political Information Awareness Information Forum.  The forum will be held on Friday, July 18, 2014 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the main sanctuary of First Baptist World Changers, located at 22575 West 8 Mile Road, Detroit, MI 48219. 

Confirmed participating candidates include –

U.S. Congressional candidates – Congressman John C. Conyers, Horace Sheffield, Raymond Mullins, Brenda Lawrence, Rudy Hobbs, Burgess D. Foster

Wayne County Executive Candidates:

Bill Wild, Phil Cavanaugh, Warren C. Evans

Michigan State Senate Candidate – Senator Bert Johnson

Michigan State Representative Candidates include –

Tyrone A. Carter, Elena Herrada, James Cole, Bernard Thompson, Fred Durhall III, Cynthia Johnson, Sherry Gay-Dagnogo, Stacy Pugh, Roy McCalister, Leslie Love, Brandon Jessup,  Melia Howard, and Carron Pinkins

Pro and Con Representatives on the Michigan State Proposal 14-1 APPROVAL OR DISAPPROVAL OF AMENDATORY ACT TO REDUCE STATE USE TAX AND REPLACE WITH  LOCAL COMMUNITY STABILIZATION SHARE TO  MODERNIZE THE TAX SYSTEM TO HELP SMALL BUSINESSES GROW AND CREATE JOBS will also be sharing their reasons for supporting or not supporting this proposal.

Please remember the forum purpose is only to provide an open venue for voters to ask submit questions and receive answers from either the official printed on the ballot candidates and/or knowledgeable individuals on the proposals and/or other related issues which impact the voting community. We want to encourage at least 80% of all registered voters to VOTE IN EVERY ELECTION!   We do not allow any political ballot slates to be distributed at these forums BUT FOR THE VOTERS to make their own educated and informed decisions.
