A Staten Island grand jury in New York has failed to return an indictment against the NYPD officer Daniel Pantaleo who was seen by millions around the world choking Eric Garner to death while the man pleaded for his life saying “I can’t breathe”.

The verdict comes less than a week after former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani took to the media to blame the Black community for white cops killing Black people. The grand jury decisions follows in the wake of the St. Louis grand juries decision not to indict Darren Wilson for the street execution of Michael Brown.

The UN Committee Against Torture just issued a blistering report against the Obama administration and federal government’s failure to hold cops responsible for the hundreds of killings they commit every year and allowed to get away with violations of the Convention Against Torture treaty.
