Tune in today as the host Scotty Reid goes over some of the day’s news, uncovered news and news covered from a counter-racist angle.

In under-reported news, two Black teens in Detroit are facing up to ten years in prison for a mural they painted on the side of a building of a cop being arrested by a child’s angel. However, people are pointing out that three white teens who painted obscenities on a building were charged with misdemeanors and got probation, with community service. When college fraternity members from the University of Michigan destroyed parts of the TreeTops and Boyne Highlands Ski Resorts they were not arrested.

Venezula asked the United States to repeal the 13th Amendment of the US Constitution that legalizes slavery as punishment for crime through the The Universal Periodic Review. The UPR is a mechanism of the Human Rights Council aimed at improving the human rights situation on the ground of each of the 193 United Nations Member States. Soon after the request, allegations started to surface that the United States was behind a coup attempt against the democratically elected government of Venezuela.

It is becoming more clear that while Rev. Al Sharpton is not The Problem but no matter how much denial some Black people are in, Mr. Sharpton is A Problem. Last night on his MSNBC hosted program, Mr. Sharpton led a segment to minimize the fall out of the Clinton email scandal spreading lies and confusion about the seriousness of Hillary Clinton’s indiscretions. Evidence has now surfaced that Hillary Clinton was well aware of the rules governing the use of email to conduct official State Department business.

  1. Scotty let me go ahead and say thank you for your work. You won’t remember me, but I’ve been hearing you and participating in shows with you since Mr. Garret’s (I think that’s his name) program on BTR. I’ve also talked with you on your own program on BTR. You are what progression looks like and your hard work is not going unnoticed. So again, thank you and please keep up the good work.

    1. I appreciate your appreciation of our progressions, no where near the achieving my total vision for the network but striving towards it. Thanks.
