The Context of White Supremacy welcomes the return of Dr. Marva Robinson. She’s the president of the St. Louis Association of Black Psychologists and has been counseling black Ferguson residents since the shooting death of Michael Brown Jr. When she visited us in December, she explained that an important aspect of the healing involved confronting the reality of Racism/White Power. We look forward to hearing an update on the mental health of black St. Louis residents. We’re anxious to see how the lack of indictments and subsequent shootings of Black people have impacted the Ferguson area. Some of our listeners began conducting healing circles based on the Dr. Robinson’s previous visit. Perhaps they can give us a word as well. We were also joined by former president of the South Carolina NAACP branch, Mr. Melvin Poole. Mr. Poole gave his views on the terrorist attack in Charleston and the debate over the Confederate flag.
