The Context of White Supremacy hosts our Thursday weekly gathering on Workplace Racism. The purpose for this segment is to improve non-white people’s problem-solving abilities and to fine-tune how black people think, speak, act and control emotions while on the job. Any listeners who’ve unearthed together the best technique to minimize conflict with White and/or non-white co-workers, avoid demotions, write-ups, terminations or other racial animus we experience under Racist labor conditions should be first to dial in and share particulars. We always welcome the experiences of black folks who are “self-employed;” please, let us know how being a black entrepreneur changes your contact with Whites on the job. We’ll hear counter-racist tactics from listeners as well as individual reflections from your own work environment. Gus encourages victims of racism to record important workplace events. Documenting your thoughts and workplace incidents is more reliable than memory, and the act of writing can help clarify your thinking. We’ll also ask that non-white listeners share critical sections of the policy and procedure from your current place of employment.
