  1. This hit so close to home. My oldest brother is an addict and has been for years. I would tell him all the time how selfish he was and how he doesn’t love anybody but himself but to your point that isn’t necessarily true. Addiction is disease that overtakes it’s victims thoughts and processes. It even sometimes alters their sense of reality. He tries to get better but then just falls right back into the wrong crowd. His addiction is what he does not who he is. All I can do is continue to love him through this. Thanks Drew!
