The Context of White Supremacy examines the Confronting White Nationalism In Schools toolkit. This report was published by the Western States Center and authored by a group of mostly White Women educators, Nora Flanagan, Jessica Acee, and Lindsay Schubiner. Ms. Acee has one White parent and one non-white parent. After detecting a surge in White children promoting Nazi propaganda and explicitly White Supremacist content, the authors/educators decided not to be spectators. Their toolkit offers specific examples of potential scenarios or racist conduct, and suggestions on how best to neutralize these problems. We’ll ask for a distinction between overtly “White Nationalist” conduct and typical White behavior towards black people. We’ll also ask where these young Whites are acquiring these White Supremacist ideas and why aren’t their mothers and fathers outraged and committed to preventing their children from growing up into adult Racists.
