The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly forum on Neutralizing Workplace Racism. What could be the lamest summer is some years commenced this weekend. Covid-19 continues to menace the planet – with reported infections rising again in a number of U.S. cities. Wearing masks remains a controversial request and work environments continue to adjust. Protests against the System of White Supremacy and police terrorism are also ongoing, and this has also forced a number of work environments to make changes. We’ll discuss children’s prospects for “summer jobs,” when a number of reports indicate these positions may be eliminated or greatly reduced because of the virus. We’ll encourage listeners to monitor their stress levels in the workplace. With this year’s relentless barrage of stress and confusion, many of us managing anxiety as best we can and without our normal levels of patience. Maintaining composure is critical for the workplace, and Racists may try to provoke us under these raging times.
