8 PM EST - “The last four or five hundred years of European contact with Africa produced a body of literature that presented Africa in a very bad light and Africans in very lurid terms. The reason for this had to do with the need to justify the slave trade and slavery.” - Chinua Achebe

The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly forum on Neutralizing Workplace Racism. With the “Thanksgiving” celebration and the accompanying nigra Friday, a lot of non-white people in the U.S. might have a few days away from the plantation. However, 2020 produced a Thanksgiving holiday unlike any other. Many states have instituted a fresh round of lockdowns. Numerous schools and businesses are closed down or limited to virtual contact. After a number C.O.W.S. listeners reported having family members test positive for covid-19, we’ll emphasize the importance of taking the virus seriously. Now is not the time to become complacent about safety in the workplace. Also, we’ll hear updates from a black worker who asked for advice by a co-worker. Specifically, the colleague reported being “terrorized” by a racist White person. We’ll discuss potential hazards of talking about Racism on the job – even with other black people.
The C.O.W.S. Radio Program is specifically engineered for black & non-white listeners – Victims of White Supremacy. The purpose of this program is to provide Victims of White Supremacy with constructive information and suggestions on how to counter Racist Woman & Racist Man.
