BTR News, By Scotty Reid – Warren Mayor Jim Fouts secretly recorded racist and misogynistic comments are causing varied responses among victims of racism living in Warren, Michigan. While Fouts should be the main focus of this case study in institutional racism, a side study should be the different responses different Black people in Warren had to the revelation that the mayor thinks black people look like monkeys and referred to them as “ni**gers” in telling a story about how another white man taught his teenage son how to practice racism in their business establishment.
You would assume that all black people in Warren, Michigan would be united in calling for Fouts to resign, however, that is not the case as you can see in the video report.
