BTR News – Steve Stephens the coward from Cleveland who gunned down 74 year old Robert Godwin Sr., has taken the coward’s way out by eating a bullet according to police reports out of Pennsylvania.
Stephens made himself internet Famous by uploading the recording of the cold-blooded killing of the retired grandfather who had spent part of the day fishing and collecting cans. Early reports turned out to be wrong and the murder was not live streamed but Stephens uploaded the video of the killing of Mr. Godwin to his Facebook account. The video despite being flagged remained online for up to three hours before being removed. Copies of the video had been downloaded and circulated on the internet garnering an estimated 1.6 million views.
Stephens apparently fled to Pennsylvania where he turned his cell phone which logged on to a cell tower whereby authorities were able to get a general location on the fugitive.
On the morning of April 18th after a brief two mile police pursuit in Erie County, Pennsylvania, Stephens reportedly shot himself after pulling over as officers approached. Stephens was pronounced dead on the scene.
Mr. Godwin was a retired foundry worker who had nine children, 14 grandchildren and multiple great-grandchildren. GoFundme has confirmed that a fundraiser for the family will go to the family.
