News outlets are reporting that a referendum vote was held over the weekend in Puerto Rico, the small occupied Island nation which finds itself a colonial possession of the United States of American Incorporated. The referendum asked voters to say yes or no to becoming the 51st state of USA.
The referendum was heavily boycotted according to reports and of those who did vote, a majority voted to give up hopes of Puerto Rico regaining its sovereign nation status.
