If you are awarded a grammy, you are considered to be the best artist among your peers. The problem is, the Grammys is a white-dominated organization and while it has long "included" non-white people, specifically Black people in the music business, the industry continues to support, promote and reward music that is harmful to black people in general and black women and girls specifically.

The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. We’ll use these sessions to hone our use of words as tools to reveal truth, neutralize White people. We’ll examine news reports from the past seven days and – hopefully – promote a constructive dialog.
The 2016 Olympic Games commenced in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil this week. This was not a cause for celebration for black Brazilians, the largest black population on the planet outside of Africa. Massive numbers of destitute non-white people have been racially dislocated to make room for White recreational enjoyment. Riot police were on hand to neutralize demonstrations during the running of the torch. Speaking of peace officers, Korryn Gaines, a 23-year-old black mother, was shot and killed in her Maryland residence this week. Her five year son was also shot. She used social media to broadcast her perspective of the conflict, which motivated local enforcement officers to ask Facebook to deactivate her account. Kenneth Walker also found his homestead under attack. A New York volunteer firefighter, Walker was racially threatened days before his residence was set ablaze. A White terrorist, Matthew Jurado, has been arrested and charged for the arson. And there’s no shortage of White Terrorists. Thomas Edwin Blanton Jr. was denied parole for his involvement in the 1963 bombing which killed four black girls in a Birmingham, Alabama church. With these hourly onslaughts against black people, Black Lives Matter announced an official list of “demands” to address the specific black needs and vulnerabilities.
