The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Anthony Morgan live from Canada. A bilingual lawyer, social affairs commentator and social justice advocate, Mr. Morgan is passionately committed to the work of countering Racism. He’s the former president of the Black Law Student’s Association of Canada and a blogger for Huffington Post Canada. We’ll get his thoughts on the impact of Black Lives Matter Toronto and the police shootings of Black Canadians. Desmond Cole and other Canadian activists have charged that Canadian media is quick to condemn Racism and police killings of black people in the U.S., but have shown less enthusiasm for investigating and publicizing the deaths of Andrew Loku, Jermaine Carby, Colten Boushie and others. We’ll inquire about Mr. Morgan’s experience growing up in Canada, his thoughts on cannabis legalization, and why Spike Lee’s bamboozled is his favorite film.
