The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. We’ll use these sessions to hone our use of words as tools to reveal truth, neutralize White people. We’ll examine news reports from the past seven days and – hopefully – promote a constructive dialog.
Victim of White Supremacy and prominent feminist bell hooks passed away this week at the age of 69. President Joe Biden issued a warning to “unvaccinated” citizens in the wake of reports of increasing Covid-19 vaccination rates. Once again, the nation watches a White enforcement official, Kim Potter, on trial for killing a black male, Daunte Wright. In Louisiana, Lafayette City Court Judge Michelle Odinet has been disqualified from the bench while an investigation reviews video that appears to show her using racist language after an alleged crime at her residence. In Iowa, Steven Vogel was convicted for the 2020 murder of Michael Williams, a 44-year-old black male. Vogel hanged Williams to death, tossed his corpse in a ditch, and set his remains ablaze. Williams was allegedly “romantically” involved with Vogel’s “girlfriend,” which necessitated the lynching.
