The C.O.W.S. BLOOD BROTHERS Part III

The Context of White Supremacy hosts the third study session on Randy Roberts’ and Johnny Smith’s 2016 publication, Blood Brothers: The Fatal Friendship Between Muhammad Ali and Malcolm X. The book launched just months before the passing of Ali. Roberts and Smith, both White men, investigate the evolution of Ali and Minister Malcolm’s relationship and how their bond fragmented with Minister Malcolm’s departure from Elijah Muhammad and the Nation of Islam. Unfortunately, Ali was unable to reconcile things before Malcolm’s assassination in 1965. Last week’s session detailed Minister Malcolm rise within the Nation as well as his growth as a national speaker on Racism. The book continues to emphasize that Minister Malcolm and Ali attracted enormous attention from White Supremacist enforcement agencies (FBI, CIA). The authors have also submitted that Ali was not interested making a political stance of publicly challenging White Domination early in his career. This book should emphasize the monumental importance of not name-calling other black people. As the authors of this book are both Suspected Racists, listeners should pay particular attention to word choice and possible Racist influence on the narrative.
