The Context of White Supremacy hosts the eighth study session on former South African President Nelson Mandela’s autobiography, Long Walk To Freedom (1994). Gus hopes this will be an opportunity for Victims of Racism to learn more about the region of South Africa and the business operations of White Terrorism in this location during the 1900’s. Our most recent installment saw the introduction on Winnie Mandela and black female’s effort to oppose the apartheid “pass books”. We got yet another example of a well-meaning White chap, juxtaposed with Madiba’s branding “the views and behavior of the Pan African Congress immature.” These may be his genuine sentiments. Or this could be the penmanship of Racist Suspect and ghostwriter Rick Stengal. Madiba’s original manuscript offer a different perspective on Madiba’s relationship to “Pan African” thought. This week we’ll continue to monitor the court proceedings, and we’ll get another dose of a good White person. Helen Joseph is apparently in the “Jim Brown” pantheon of White folk who were for sure not Racist and worthy of black appreciation.
