The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. We’ll use these sessions to hone our use of words as tools to reveal truth, neutralize White people. We’ll examine news reports from the past seven days and – hopefully – promote a constructive dialog.
Attorney General Eric Holder began the week by standing his ground, reaffirming his 2009 pronouncement that we are a nation of cowards for refusing to speak truthfully about Racism. His remarks were conveniently synchronized with the 70th anniversary of the Port Chicago Disaster – which resulted in the death of 320 sailors – mostly black – and the eventual court martial of 50 black sailors who protested the Racist and unsafe work conditions which produced the catastrophe. This week also marked the 50 year anniversary of the murder of James Powell – a 15 year old black resident of New York; his death resulted in days of protests and rioting throughout the Big Apple. “Racial Progress” was strangled along with the life of Eric Garner, a 43-year-old father of six and resident of New York. The city’s finest allege that he was illegally selling cigarettes – a likely act of terrorism. Many around the world recognized late South African President Nelson Mandela’s birthday, but a lot of that attention got directed to Nadine Gordimer – a supposed good White person who wrote about Apartheid.
