The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Akala live from the United Kingdom. Akala is a world renown hip hop artist and educator. He’s toured around the world and participated in serious public dialogs on Racism, the murder of Lee Rigby and the 2011 execution of Mark Duggan and the subsequent unrest. Mr. Akala speaks honestly about his childhood in England – he has a White mother and a non-white father. He discuses the routine violence that was apart of his childhood that influences his artist product. We’re eager to ask him about “interracial relationships” in the UK and how this relates the broader power structure of Racism (White Supremacy).
