The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. We’ll use these sessions to hone our use of words as tools to reveal truth, neutralize White people. We’ll examine news reports from the past seven days and – hopefully – promote a constructive dialog.
The week began with fretful legions anticipating a decision from the Ferguson grand jury; Governor Nixon declared a state of emergency and activated the national guard. By week’s end, there was still no news on Officer Darren Wilson’s fate and attention shifted radically to allegations of sexual misconduct against Jello Pudding pitchman, Bill Cosby. It was suggested that the Fat Albert creator benefited from Racism – his White accusers were reluctant to step forward for fear of being branded as Racist. Don Lemon was castigated for his treatment of one of Cosby’s White accusers – he was forced to apologize. Al Sharpton was maligned as the greatest tax cheat in the country – and for fomenting unrest in Missouri. And Michael Sam and Tyler James Williams (The Walking Dead, Dear White People) tossed black people under the bus. There was so much antiblackness most people missed the NYPD killing yet another unarmed black male (Akai Gurley) as well as Daniel Holtzclaw’s preliminary trial for sexually terrorizing 13 black females.
