The Context of White Supremacy hosts our Thursday weekly caucus on Workplace Racism. This segment is specifically designed to refine our problem-solving abilities and to fortify how black people think, speak, act and control our emotions while at work. Any listeners who have discovered the best means to minimize conflict with White and/or non-white co-workers, avoid demotions, write-ups, terminations or the other usual troubles we experience under Racist labor conditions should be first to call in and share particulars. We always welcome the experiences of Black “entrepreneurs;” please, share how being “self employed” reconfigures your contact with Whites on the job. We’ll hear counter-racist techniques from listeners as well as individual reflections from your own work environment. Gus encourages non-white people to record your workplace experiences. Documenting your thoughts and workplace incidents is more dependable than memory, and the act of writing can help organize and clarify your thinking. We’ll also request that non-white listeners share noteworthy sections of the policy and procedure from your current place of employment.
