Last week’s session detailed an especially tacky scene: Khalil’s funeral. During this moment readers are informed that Starr’s father Maverick cheated on her mother and sired a child with a sex worker. Gang members interrupt the proceedings and near brawl ensues near the casket. In between commentary on the drug-selling, fried chicken eating black people, Starr continues to rave about her flawless White boyfriend, Chris. While all of the main black characters are majorly flawed. Chris remains a sparkling example of a character without flaws.
