The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. We’ll use these sessions to hone our use of words as tools to reveal truth, neutralize White people. We’ll examine news reports from the past seven days and – hopefully – promote a constructive dialog.
365 days of protests and turmoil in Missouri went full circle as a state of emergency was declared in Ferguson on the anniversary of Michael Brown Jr’s death, shots were fired, and more black people were arrested. The numerous activists who’ve joined “Black Lives Matter” have increasingly called on presidential candidates Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton to address Racism. The 50 year anniversary of the Watts unrest provided another chance for Whites to insist that there has been immense progress in “race relations.” It’s been a decade since Hurricane Katrina, and The Chicago Tribune reminded us that contempt for black life remains high; staff writer and Racist Suspect Kristen McQueary published an op-ed piece on her wish that Chicago have its own disaster to wash away Illinois’ niggers.
