Texas Republicans want to stop Angela Davis from speaking during Black history month

It seems that some Texas Republicans are having a problem with the First Amendment and think they have a right to pick and chose what Black people can come to Texas Tech College campus and speak during a Black History month lecture series.

Carl Tepper, Chairman of the Lubbock County Republican Party seems to be behind the move to bar 60s Icon Angela Davis from speaking to the community about 21st Century Slavery and Human Trafficking and the need for prison reform. He seems to think that he can tell Black people and others who want to hear Davis speak who their role models should be. With all the rhetoric coming from the Republican party about reaching out to the Black community, they sure are doing a helluva bang up job.
