BTR News: Failure To Convict Trump Forever Undermines Notions of US Rule of Law

By Scotty Reid – Donald J. Trump has become the first POTUS to be impeached twice. While some pundits on both the left and right will claim that the first impeachment was a witch hunt, I disagree, Trump was absolutely guilty of the charges that a formal House inquiry found evidence that he had solicited foreign interference in the 2020 U.S. presidential election to help his re-election bid, and then obstructed the inquiry itself by telling his administration officials to ignore subpoenas for documents and testimony. The inquiry reported that Trump withheld military aid and an invitation to the White House to Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky in order to influence the Ukraine government to announce an investigation into Trump’s political opponent Joe Biden.

There is both video and audio evidence of Trump committing the alleged acts. Just because a majority Republican senate failed to convict him despite the ample evidence doesn’t change the fact he was guilty and unjustly acquitted based along partisan lines and loyalty to Trump rather the rule of law and loyalty to the U.S Constitution.

Trump was impeached again this week on one charge of inciting an insurrection against the United States government which was set up for months using racially charged false voter fraud allegations in case after case thrown out by the U.S Courts on lack of evidence or being frivolous in nature. He makes history by being impeached twice by the US House of Representatives.

There is no one on this planet earth who can honestly claim that Trump is not guilty of the charge of incited a white supremacist insurrection and if the US Senate fails to convict Trump of what he is clearly guilty of, then we simply have more evidence of the very real corruption that exists and the continued moral failings of a nation that has never been great at doing anything but turning blind eyes to injustices along color lines.

If Trump is acquitted of this treasonous charge, more pressure must be brought to bear on the US government and the Biden administration to free all US held political prisoners from the Black freedom movements from the 60s, 70s and 80s. Free Em’ All!
